James Augustus Sessions and Lucinda Ivey are the two Sessions that I end up talking to most people about. Everyone wants to know if Lucinda is really Native and African decent. She is and I have found even though Lucinda is my 4th Great Grandmother occasionally on DNA tests I have very tiny percentages of Native and African. I joined a Lumbee Genealogy group on Facebook and other Lumbee’s in the group tested my DNA to theirs and I ended up being related to two Lumbee people. One of the Lumbees we are related to told me that we were connected 7.5 generation’s. We either share 7th or 8th grandparents.
Joseph Ivey moved from North Carolina to Illinois with Major (Elijah) Locklear and other known Lumbee tribes people. He purchased land and started his family with Elizabeth Ivey.
While in Illinois Joseph Ivey was commissioned to build a bridge in 1838 that was eventually approved.
Mary Sessions married Elijah Ivey then James Augustus Sessions married Lucinda Ivey.
Both two Session/Ivey families moved to Hickman in Scott County Arkansas.
James Augustus Sessions and Lucinda Ivey Sessions died young from a Cholera epidemic that not only took them it took their first daughter Mary Sessions. I believe Elijah Ivey may have been murdered(?).
James Augustus Sessions and Lucinda Ivey Sessions first son Robert Eugene Sessions was Representative for Scott County Arkansas and a reverend.

James Augustus Sessions and Lucinda Ivey Session’s second son John Francis Sessions was a poster-master.

They both married sister’s. Robert Eugene Sessions married Elizabeth Womack and

Elizabeth Womack Sessions with Fred Wilburn Sessions and Thomas Andrew Sessions.
John Francis Sessions married Dialtha Tennesee Womack.
Does anyone else have more information like the following :
